New Art in The New Age: What was Modern? grew out of the collaborative efforts of the members of a Humanities Center Working Group, including Renée Allen, Jenny Anger, Steven Lubar, Tamar Katz, Dian Kriz, Robert Scholes and Clifford Wulfman. Financial support for this exhibit was generously provided by The Cogut Center for the Humanities, The John Nicholas Brown Center, and The Modernist Journals Project. The exhibition was curated by Dawn Blizard. Shraddha Aryal designed the exhibit and its accompanying materials. Clifford Wulfman designed and implemented the website. We are grateful to Lesley Wright, Director of the Faulconer Gallery at Grinnell College, for her assistance in matters both practical and theoretical; we are also indebted to Pamela Soulos and Laura Hendrickson for their help and support. A very special thanks goes to Robert Scholes – without his enthusiastic support and insightful guidance, this exhibition could never have come into being. |
